2019 just around the corner; I think a bit of New Years rearrangement is required. To keep me on track, this is a project list for social media updates I wish to complete before the end of January.

Tumblr
At the time of writing this it's been a week since I logged off Tumblr as part of the protests, and I still haven't had the urge to log back on. Based on how much time I used to spend scrolling aimlessly through my dash, I have come to the conclusion that I don't need to return here. I will log on once to post a farewell/linkbox, but otherwise I think I am fully done with the site, unless they change their minds about needless post flagging.

Twitter
My following list blew up with how many people I added in prep for Tumblr's vanishment, so I definitely need to clean that list up and decide just who I want to keep track of via Twitter, and who can be found on other media that is more suited to the content I want to see. Also needed here: fixing up my banner image and profile picture with new/improved material, as right now it's haphazard and ill-sized. I should also make a pinned tweet for the top of my feed, update my profile info, and other small data-adjustments.

Dreamwidth: Main
First and foremost, the CSS on my page styles needs to be updated, both colour and style-wise. I liked my Tumblr colour scheme, and I want it reflected back on this new (or renewed) platform. Second, at present, I have a pinned post detailing all my side RP accounts; this needs to be updated with new data, links checked for accuracy, and made secondary pin. I need a fresh pinned post that is basically a permanent welcome-hi-this-is-me. This post will also be a linkbox for all social media and a tagbox for the posts I have (or will have) that contain specific topics. I want Dreamwidth to be my personal site-away-from-personal site. Oh, and I need to clean up my tag usage so that it's actually useful.

Dreamwidth: Sides
I have about 7 RP accounts that I don't really use, but they all need updating, so I may as well include it in the project list. Uniform style-type, adjusted only for personalized colour, with at least one post for each account detailing character details. Also need to update the icons for each account, as I don't have paid anymore and am limited to 15 each. Also, I need to update the tracked posts on each account, as they are all old threads. And lastly, though it's a project in itself really, each account needs to be hunted down for content posted on grid_lined, and the RP records archived - and, hopefully, turned into story format to post on Ao3 for true archival purposes. Some of that character development is worth keeping.

DeviantART
Like twitter, I have a lot of accounts I follow here that may or may not still be relevant to my tastes. I should go through my follow list and look things up. Profile info and images are also very out of date, and should be updated, though it's low on my list given how little art I do lately.

Ao3/FFN
Profile info on both sites needs updating, though FFN less so since I don't post there anymore. Profile images need updating as well. We will not address the elephant in the room that is the 101 WIP files I have pending completion and posting.

Youtube
I don't use Youtube for anything but following videos, but profile and images should be updated nonetheless. Who knows. Maybe one day I'll have something worth posting here.

Facebook
I can't delete my page because reasons but I can't use Facebook - not only is it morally repugnant, but it crashes my computer every time I try. Need to clean up the personal data here, so that it's not out in the open, and post a So Long Farewell, but yeah, this site is leprosy.

Personal Site
Dropped off updating this, but updates need doing. Full character bios need to be completed, worldbuilding needs to be fleshed out and finished, recipes need updating, and ugh, if I sat here listing things I'd be here until 2020. Doesn't help that Twitter has flagged it as Potentially Unsafe. I don't have viruses, gdi. Might need to look into moving to a less-hostile domain host.

To sum up: Profile images and data updates for everything, and everything else a case-by-case style basis. Guess I gotta dust off the ol' wacom tablet. (literally. There is so much dust on it.)

....Phew.

Just take it one step at a time, self, else the sheer amount of work will tailspin you into the ground.

Ram-XR71
Ram-XR71
faction: basic, User-believer
function: security infiltration
circuits: blue-#6ccdf4
Faceclaim: Dan Shor

Tron - Grid_lined
A blue-circuited, curly-haired, fun-loving data-acquisition program whose canon stems from an expanded-scene AU. Ram was once an actuarial program, but after being captured by the MCP, freed, derezzed, and recompiled by his User, he's now an infiltrator who tests security protocols looking for weak points, so that the firewalls can plug the holes. His code carries a quirk that forces any vehicle he rezzes to display default system colours. Ram pops into the Free Grid at random, sometimes appearing outside his own timeline, and rarely staying for long, but he makes sure to regularly check on the Cascade Energy Springs in the outlands where he first arrived, making sure nobody else disturbs the wild Bit population living there.

Britt
faction: basic, User-believer
function: communications
circuits: Blue-#01b0ff/gold-#f7c901
Faceclaim: Van Williams

Tron - Grid_lined
Wearing a combination of cerulean blue and gold circuits, Britt is an archivist and analyst, data acquisiton, management, and distribution - fancy talk for a reporter-program. Originally from Encom post-MCP, Britt lived through the coup and the ISO war in Sentinel City, broadcasting pirated material under the alias Hornet, alongside his friend and partner Kato, an Iso whose code was spliced into Britt's in order to build the perfect, indetectable false identity to hide from the occupation. They operated for several hundred cycles before they were derezzed, with Britt sacrificing himself in hopes to save Kato. Now on the Free Grid, Britt is once again Head of Communications. His circuits turn Bostrum-green under his half of the masking subroutine, with a near-viral Iso signature.

Kato
faction: Iso, formerly of Bostrum
function: Mp3 dJ/eol security/Medic
circuits: Green-#00ff00
Faceclaim: Bruce Lee

Tron - Grid_lined
Kato is an Iso who chose to be a medic, even though his talent is music, because he wanted to be useful. He went to Bostrum with the first settlers, but soon left due to differences of opinion, and instead joined a Basic colony of overseas programs. It was here he met Britt during a gridbug swarm. When the coup happened, both Isos and the overseas Basics were destroyed, and Kato moved into Sentinel City. He and Britt spliced their code together in a dangerous procedure in order to create false identities to hide from the occupation, while running a pirate radio under the alias Hornet. Kato and Britt were derezzed several hundred cycles before the end of Clu's reign. Now on the Free Grid, Kato works as a DJ and bouncer at the End of Line club, employing the use of his circuit mask to appear as a Basic.

Kip-2x9fc
faction: basic, User-believer
function: auto-updater (therapist)
circuits: Green-#99ffcc
Faceclaim: Seth Green

Tron - Grid_lined
Kip is a Kernel Integration Processor (also known as an auto-updater) from a home computer owned by a User known as Evergreen107 or Everett, torrented directly out of an I/O tower in his system and onto the Free Grid. He is tiny both in stature and in filesize, with seafoam-green circuits and a code quirk that causes his hair to change colour with his mood involuntarily. Kip's function basically amounts to being the Grid's first therapist, a heavy task for such a young program barely out of beta-hood. Fortunately, he's making plenty of friends to help him along. His jacket was a gift from his MCP, and is one of his most prized possessions; the other is the data-pad that came with him on the jump, which is years more advanced than anything the Grid has to offer. However, Kip's defensive capabilities are woefully underskilled, leaving him vunerable to the more malicious elements on the Grid.

"Sphinx" Dumont
faction: basic, User-believer
function: I/O tower guardian
circuits: Blue-#0072bc
Faceclaim: Barnard Hughes

Tron - Grid_lined
Dumont, or 'Sphinx' as he's nicknamed on the Free Grid, hails from the same universe as Ram and wears rich blue circuits. Before the MCP came to power and tore his functionality down to base code, Dumont wore the form of a leonine beast with the face of a man. His fur is actually fiber-optic fillaments that wire him into his I/O chamber pod, and his prong-tipped tail provides a hard-line link-up. Dumont may be a little gruff, but he enjoys sharing wisdom and stories of the User world that he's learned from I/O transmissions with the newly rezzed betas that invariably come under his charge. Despite his fearsome appearance, he's quite sweet, unless you're threatening the Users. On the Free Grid, he guards the I/O tower that was restored for use as a communications platform between the varied origin-universes of displaced programs.

Ossa
faction: Basic, neutral
function: energy distribution circuits: gray-#e7eef3/blue-#95c7e7
Faceclaim: Tiffani Thiessen

Tron - Grid_lined
Ossa is a Free Grid native, having been installed there since before the original coup. Good-natured, practical, and optimistic, she's worked as a waitress in the EoL for hundreds of cycles, first under Zuse/Castor, then under Eckert, always wearing the EoL's neutral white-blue circuit colours. Zuse's policy concerning staff not wearing disks, to protect the privacy of his patrons, took a toll on Ossa's memory recall. As a result, she's missing quite a few gaps from her past, and her disk no longer syncs properly, causing her to forget little details such as names and faces and tasks - although, she never forgets anything to do with the EoL. Despite this setback, she doesn't let it bother her; how could she miss something she can't ever remember having?
older_wiser
Anon "Owen"
faction: Basic, User-Believer
function: Security
circuits: Blue-#0072BC
Faceclaim: Bruce Greenwood

Tron - Grid_lined
Hailing from the same system as Ram-XR71, this version of Anon had the chance to grow up and gain a proper designation: Owen. Now he's older, wiser, and acting second in command for his world's Tron-led security; a security constantly tested (along with his patience) by one infiltrative actuary. He hasn't seen much of the Free Grid, though; too busy hunting his quarry down and preventing any more catastrophies in the name of system sanity.
cyphercode
Turing
faction: Basic, neutral
function: Packet Transport
circuits: Red-#
Faceclaim: Andrew Garfield

Tron - Grid_lined
Turing was just minding his own damn business and doing his bits-damned job when the Portal snatched his Recogniser right out of the Grid's dark sky. Now he's stuck in a world where the designation Clu is ananthema and his system-loyal red circuits are better than a virus to keep programs away. Honestly. What's left is a bewieldered and frustrated program who never asked to be rectified and his memories dumped -- but as there's nothing to be done about it, can we please just move on?
I have seen Bumblebee in theaters and it was WONDERFUL.

I can't even begin to make my brain describe how much I loved this movie and for what reasons, my brain refuses to put things into coherent words. So I'm just gonna jump right into the plot ideas that immediately came to me by the end of the film.

Spooooilers~~~

Click for plots )
Due to Tumblr winding up a trash fire of censorship I am once again activating my dreamwidth. Goal is to use this place as a plot idea dumping ground, mostly, with some ramble-posts interspersed, assuming I am ghosted on that site. So far, not looking like it's gonna shaft me. It'll take a bit to clean this place up, I think, so don't expect too much to happen fast.

Finally got around to migrating my stuff from livejournal to dreamwidth. Now I just have to organise everything. It'll only take another 5 years, no sweat.
